Chapter Six: New Friends

We make our way down to the beach toward a volleyball game already in progress. It’s a little after ten o’clock in the morning and apparently the festivities are already under way. “Martin, you don’t know what they were doing. They were probably just tired.” She looks over at Lana, whose face is a little pink from embarrassment. “Would the two of you like a sangria?”

“Sure.” My wife nods her head and smiles at the other woman. Martin turns and pulls a bottle of the wine from a bucket of ice and pours us a drink. He then gives us the glasses after we sit down nearby.

“We love this wine,” Cindy tells us as we have a sip. “As a matter of fact, it’s what we order whenever we come here.”

“And you’re here often?” I ask.

She nods her head. “We come at least three times each year. This is where our group meets most of the time. The accommodations are really nice and the management happens to be cool about what we do.”

“Not many places want to host a naked group of people,” Martin jokes. “It’s just easy to keep coming here instead of working around the hurdles in other places.”
